Children's Aid Society is Hiring: Full-time (40 hours -5 days) and Part-time (24 hours -3 Days) Childcare Associates to work overnight (10:45pm - 7:15 am  in our Residential programs.

We are currently seeking a caring and dedicated Childcare Associate to work with youth residing at Cornerstone Youth Home and Lehman Crisis Nursery , creating a supportive and empowering atmosphere for those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supervision for children and youth at the Cornerstone Youth Home and Lehman Crisis Nursery.
• Support daily routines, activities, and life skills development.
• Establish a caring, trusting relationship with children and youth, serving as a positive role model.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Assist with emotional and behavioral support, helping youth manage their feelings and behaviors in a constructive way.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
• Document observations and report any concerns or incidents to supervisors as needed.
• Facilitate recreational, educational, and creative activities to engage and inspire youth.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in social services, child development, or related field is an asset.
• Experience working with children or youth, particularly those in crisis, is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in stressful situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A criminal background check and a health physical are required
