What You'll Do

• Perform patient history and physical exams in a trauma setting.
• Evaluate and diagnose trauma patients, making timely treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, x-rays, and imaging.
• Assist or act as first or second surgical assistant under supervision.
• Provide patient counseling on health and treatment plans.
• Initiate admissions, complete medical documentation, and coordinate patient care.
• Monitor trauma caseloads, supporting the trauma surgeon and managing patient discharges.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center.

What You Need

• Active California PA license
• BLS certification
• Trauma or critical care experience preferred
• Surgical assisting experience or documented training in surgical assistance
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
