What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including history-taking and physical exams in a trauma setting
• Initiate and adjust treatment plans according to state regulations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) and coordinate patient care
• Recognize and respond to emergent situations requiring immediate medical attention
• Counsel patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Assist with procedures such as wound care, incision and drainage, and basic fracture management
• Support trauma surgeon by monitoring and managing patients on the trauma service
• Participate in rapid assessment and stabilization of trauma patients in a high-volume environment

What You Need

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification
• 3+ years of trauma or critical care experience
• Surgical assisting or robotic surgery assistance training preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

About the Assignment

Join a dedicated team at a reputable healthcare facility in Redding, CA, providing trauma care at a busy Level II Trauma Center. You'll support a trauma surgeon and a team of healthcare professionals, managing a patient census of 20-25 trauma patients daily, with little to no pediatric involvement.
