Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in York, PA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes providing intensive respiratory care, operating and maintaining ventilatory equipment, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and educating patients and families according to policy and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
• One year experience as an RRT.
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Competence with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation, oximetry, and capnography monitoring.
• Ability to perform airway management procedures including intubation, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and ventilator setup.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Assignment Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
