This is considered an ideal developmental role for candidates seeking an opportunity to develop greater organizational visibility, business and commercial acumen or exposure to longer-term strategies across Canada, US and Mexico.What you’ll doLead and execute category strategies for valves, fittings, flanges, and process equipment across the full lifecycle—from development through implementation and sustainmentDrive data‑based decisions through market intelligence, spend analysis, supplier capacity assessment, and forecastingIdentify and compile internal long-term demand forecasts across Canada, US and MexicoFacilitate and lead materials and equipment standardization initiatives with internal stakeholdersCoordinate enterprise‑wide initiatives across multiple business units, regions, and regulatory jurisdictionsEnable project execution by contributing to category execution strategies and project‑specific procurement plansManage supplier performance and relationships, including KPI tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiativesLead and/or support contract formation, negotiation, management, and improvement, as well as contract interpretation and claims managementSupport change management and communications, ensuring category strategies and agreements are clearly understood and adopted across the organizationMinimum Qualifications Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institutionMinimum 6 years of progressive related experiencePreferred QualificationsDesignation or enrollment in a Supply Chain Management program such as ISM, SCMP, CSCMP and/or IACCM and/or Professional Engineer and/or PMPExperience with valves, fittings, flanges and process equipmentExperience with relevant systems and tools, such as SAP, Ariba, MS Project, ExcelStrong planning, project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task under high pressure situations with competing priorities and a sense of urgencySolid technical skills and aptitudeIdentifies and articulates value creation opportunities based on spend, market, and business analysisIdentifies and facilitates adoption of best practices based on interactions with leading suppliers To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-HybridAbout our businessWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
