Front Desk Agent – Fairlane Hotel | Nashville, TN Job Type: Full-Time, On-Property About Fairlane Hotel: Fairlane Hotel is a 79-room independent boutique property in the heart of downtown Nashville. We are committed to delivering a warm, polished guest experience and take pride in a front desk team that is professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Position Summary: The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for hotel guests, responsible for delivering a welcoming and professional experience at every interaction. This position handles check‑in and check‑out, reservations, and guest inquiries while supporting the seamless day‑to‑day operation of the front desk. Responsibilities Guest Services Greet all guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner Handle check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently and accurately, including ID verification, payment processing, and key issuance Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring complete satisfaction Maintain knowledge of hotel features, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests with recommendations Front Desk Operations Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the property management system Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure room readiness Handle phone calls, emails, and messages courteously and professionally Ensure the front desk and lobby remain clean, organized, and welcoming Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures Qualifications Required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience Proficiency with hotel property management systems (Stay N Touch experience a plus) Knowledge of local Nashville attractions Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure Schedule Full-time, on-property position with rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
