Licensed Project Architect

Location: Coral Gables, FL
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Project Architect with extensive experience in architectural design and production to lead complex projects while providing leadership and mentorship to junior architectural staff.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, design proficiency, and leadership skills in producing well-coordinated construction documents from concept through completion. This role will oversee production efforts, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and support creative design solutions.

The Project Architect will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams and report directly to firm leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of architectural drawings and specifications for permitting and construction.

• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure technical accuracy and design integrity.

• Assist with design development, technical solutions, and project problem-solving.

• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ADA requirements, and constructability standards.

• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior architects and technicians.

• Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits.

• Maintain project documentation standards and participate in internal QA/QC processes.

• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Coordinate project activities and ensure deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture .

• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design and production.

• Architectural licensure required.

• LEED accreditation is a plus.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit .

• Experience with SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Rhino, Lumion, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

• Strong understanding of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and permitting processes.

• Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Experience with a leading U.S. or international architecture firm is preferred.
