Outlet Cashier

Every guest interaction matters and as an Outlet Cashier, you'll help create smooth, friendly, and efficient dining experiences across our restaurants, cafs, bars, and Food & Beverage outlets. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and has a strong eye for accuracy and service. You'll support daily outlet operations by processing guest transactions, assisting with orders, and helping ensure guests leave with a positive final impression. What you'll be doing

• Process guest orders, payments, and transactions accurately using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient guest service during restaurant, caf, bar, grab-and-go, and Food & Beverage outlet operations.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, pricing, promotions, and outlet offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations, beverage areas, counters, and guest-facing spaces.
• Assist with order coordination, guest requests, and operational support during busy service periods.
• Balance cash drawers, process credit card transactions, and support end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
• Follow food safety standards, sanitation procedures, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and hotel operational policies.
• Support restocking of supplies, grab-and-go items, utensils, condiments, and operational inventory as needed.
• Partner closely with Culinary, Servers, Bartenders, and Food & Beverage leadership to support smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.
• Help create a welcoming, positive, and service-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta's People People culture.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What great looks like

• Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, hospitality, hotel, caf, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience using POS systems, handling cash transactions, and balancing registers accurately.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and operational consistency.
• Positive attitude with a friendly, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
• Basic food safety knowledge and alcohol service certification preferred where applicable.
• A passion for hospitality, guest service, teamwork, and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
