Accounts Receivable Representative

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative II will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, processing appeals, and maintaining productivity standards. Key responsibilities Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary Work through assigned accounts receivable queues and maintain an accuracy rating of 97% or greater on audited accounts Identify trends in accounts receivable and communicate findings to leadership while maintaining strict confidentiality Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred 1-3 years of professional experience in healthcare and accounts receivable is preferred Basic math skills and understanding of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and laws, including managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
