Must-Have:
- Medication administration processes adhering to medication rights for patient safety
- Completing medication refills per Provider orders and established procedures
- Providing direct care to patients to meet health needs in accordance with established individual plans of care
- Completing point of care sample collection, including phlebotomy
- Vaccine and other IM/SubQ medication administration
- Providing routine treatments, including but not limited to: wound care, enema administration, topical medication application, colostomy care, surgical preparation procedures, and reporting of all observations and treatment outcomes to the Registered Nurse and/or Advanced Care Providers
- Emergency response and appropriate interventions for patients experiencing physiological distress in alignment with BLS standards and per scope of practice
- Accurate and complete documentation of all patient care and encounters within an electronic healthcare record


Description:
This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
You will be responsible for medication administration, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Direct care is provided to meet individual health needs based on established care plans.
You will collect samples for testing and administer necessary vaccines and medications.
Routine treatments will include wound care and other procedures as outlined in patient care plans.
Emergency response duties will involve appropriate interventions for patients in distress.
Accurate documentation of all patient interactions is essential for maintaining comprehensive health records.
