In this role, you will: Partner with Sales to guide the structure and execution of Enterprise and Mid‑Market deals, optimizing for customer experience, revenue, profitability, and compliance. Advise on deal structure, discounting best practices, and commercial terms, and educate Sales to drive deal velocity and repeatable success. Evaluate deal financials including margin, payment terms, and cash flow to optimize execution against company targets. Mitigate risk by ensuring deals align with company policies and revenue recognition requirements. Monitor the Deal Desk support request and quote approval queue, consistently maintaining SLAs with quality output. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive deal closure and ensure a seamless customer experience. Partner with Enablement to build and deliver training sessions for Sales. Leverage AI tools — including Glean, Claude, and other approved platforms — to accelerate deal analysis, summarise documentation, and surface relevant precedents; identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows and implement solutions that measurably improve deal velocity. Champion, role‑model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices. Minimum requirements for the role 3+ years in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations – or equivalent experience in a complex deal environment (e.g., Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Pricing & Analytics, SaaS Partnerships, or Commercial/Contract Management). Proficiency in SaaS deal construction; able to advise on booking and revenue recognition implications. Ability to analyse deal economics and explain commercial levers to Sales. Excellent communication and cross‑functional partnership skills. Strong problem‑solving ability with a track record of independently navigating approvals and unblocking non‑standard deals. Highly responsive with the ability to manage competing priorities, including extended hours during month and quarter‑end cycles. Comfortable incorporating AI tools into day‑to‑day workflows with sound judgement around output quality, data privacy, and human review. An ideal candidate also has Experience with Salesforce and Google Sheets/Excel. Hands‑on experience using AI tools to accelerate commercial analysis, draft communications, or summarise complex documentation. Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI‑assisted workflows sufficient to evaluate output quality and guide adoption across a team. Total Rewards The range of annual base salary for full‑time employees for this position is below. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. $79,432.50 — $133,500 USD At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving.
