Embark on a rewarding journey as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in a welcoming school community near Orland, CA. This full-time contract role is set in Corning, CA, and runs through June 3, 2027. You'll play a key part in opening a new Specialized Day Class (SDC), helping to provide targeted instruction and more individualized attention for students by transitioning and balancing class sizes.

In this position, you’ll serve a caseload capped at 14 elementary-age students, working collaboratively alongside three dedicated teaching assistants. Your focus will be on providing tailored support for learners with mild to moderate needs, ensuring each student receives the highest quality instruction and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a structured classroom environment.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Coordinate with teaching assistants and related service professionals to support student progress.
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom climate that encourages growth and inclusion.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and communicate regularly with families and school teams.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (please include a screenshot of your active CTC).
• Experience working with elementary-age special education students preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
