Floor Tech/Houseman FT - Full-Time 1st Shift

Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment to remove stains and dirt, ensuring carpets are fresh and well-maintained. Apply floor care treatments such as waxing or sealing to protect surfaces and enhance durability. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other high-traffic zones through regular janitorial routines. Assist with environmental services by disposing of waste properly and replenishing supplies as needed. Use commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols. Support custodial operations by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a secure environment. Assists with event set ups, taking out trash, and general housekeeping Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, mopping, and carpet cleaning methods. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, and vacuums safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts. Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift heavy equipment or supplies, and stand for extended periods. Shift: Full time Sunday - Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm Experience : 1 - 2 years of experience in hospitality or hospital setting. Senior living experience is a plus! Starting at: $19.00 - $20.00 depending on experience Freedom Village is an EOE.
