About the Role

The Company is seeking a Hospital Chief Quality Officer (CQO) to lead and oversee strategic quality initiatives that ensure patient safety, performance excellence, and compliance with healthcare standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading efforts to improve patient outcomes, reduce risks, and implement best practices across the organization. This executive role involves collaborating with senior leadership to align clinical performance goals, fostering a culture of safety and excellence, and providing executive leadership for quality improvement initiatives. The CQO will also act as a change management leader, advocating for cultural transformation and organizational accountability, and will engage with medical staff, nursing leaders, and administrative teams to drive system-wide quality and safety improvements. Applicants for the Hospital Chief Quality Officer position at the company must have a Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field, with RN or MD/DO with Texas licensure preferred. A minimum of 7 years of management experience in healthcare is required, with 10 years preferred, and FACHE certification is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities, proven leadership skills, and experience with performance excellence frameworks and quality improvement methodologies. The role demands the ability to lead change initiatives, foster collaboration across diverse teams, and a deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care processes, and risk mitigation strategies. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
