Advanced Technician

Advanced Technician – N2 Champion process improvement in assigned areas by analyzing equipment maintenance history, identifying significant causes of waste, coordinating with appropriate employees to develop root‑cause solutions, and providing maintenance assistance as necessary. Assist in day‑to‑day support of operators, adjustments, setups, and change over. Assist maintenance techs as required. Shift and Schedule Friday – Sunday with alternating Thursdays. 6:00 pm – 6:15 am. Safety Actively schedules, organizes, and leads risk reduction processes (hazard hunts, risk assessments, job hazard analysis, PPE assessments, etc.). Quality Coaching and mentoring of Quality Data Set, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point systems. Use lean tools and data for predictive analysis and corrective action implementation. Lead layered internal audits. Lead Root Cause Corrective Action & Preventive Action activities with the team. Train Production Technician I and II in Root Cause Corrective Analysis skills, facilitation, and leading. Model ownership of quality metrics and SQF standards. Delivery Coaching and teaching others in the Daily Management Systems, particularly in determining root cause, concise problem statements, and developing corrective action plans. Identify and address minor equipment and material issues; make adjustments if applicable. Coordinate and align standards between shifts. Define, review, and drive improvements to standard work. Partner with maintenance on preventative maintenance execution and lead cross‑functional improvement activities. Cost Lead Root Cause Corrective on waste reduction initiatives. Participate in plant‑wide teams focused on waste reduction and continuous process improvement. Coach and develop cost reduction with others. Actively engage in auditing of countermeasures. Requirements Highly competent and independent with a basic level of mechanical aptitude. Ability to take increased ownership of the line and perform cross‑functional tasks to achieve tactical and strategic goals. Willingness and ability to learn additional skills as needed. Successfully performed as a Production Technician II for at least 6 months before applying. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop peers. Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements. No 2nd warning or above in the previous 12 months. Total Rewards Pay starting at $30.90 per hour, increasing to $32.46 per hour in the quarter after the 6‑month anniversary. Eligible for up to a $3.00 shift differential.
