Paramedic

The Paramedic provides direct patient care within the scope of their license and under physician supervision, following established rules, regulations, and protocols. Key responsibilities include administering emergency medications, performing thorough patient assessments, prioritizing care, and documenting treatments accurately. The Paramedic also ensures ambulances and stations are maintained and ready for service, assists with medical treatments under provider and RN direction, and manages resources effectively to meet departmental goals. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of paramedic licensure and under physician supervision.
• Administer emergency medications according to state rules and protocols.
• Perform complete, population-specific patient assessments and establish care priorities.
• Document patient assessments and treatments accurately using the WATRS reporting system.
• Maintain, clean, and stock ambulances and station to ensure readiness for service.
• Assist with medical treatment of patients in other hospital departments as directed by providers and RNs.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel, and resources to meet department standards and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Paramedic license in the State of Wyoming.
• Knowledge of emergency medication administration within paramedic scope.
• Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and prioritize care.
• Proficiency in documentation using electronic reporting systems.
• Strong organizational and resource management skills.

• Experience in ambulance or emergency medical services.
• Familiarity with hospital-based patient care assistance under provider and RN supervision.

• Must adhere to state regulations and protocols for paramedic practice.
• May be required to assist in various hospital departments within scope of practice.
• Responsibility for maintaining ambulance readiness at all times.
