Server Position

Northgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolio in the nation. Our passion is creating family camping memories for our guests – memories that will last a lifetime! We don't do this as individuals, but as a passionate team that cares about making a difference in our guests' lives. We endeavor to be a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization. The Servers are responsible for ensuring the highest level of clients' satisfaction and provide an outstanding customer experience. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected. This role is a seasonal, full-time, or part-time position and reports to the Food Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and lead them to their seats
• Introduce our menus and describe different dishes and drinks
• Make recommendations on specialties, take orders, and deliver orders to the table promptly
• Adhere to food, sanitary, and safety standards
• Inspect the quality and looks of the dishes, making sure they uphold standards
• Identify and resolve any special requirements, wants, and needs of customers
• Handle complaints
• Deliver checks and accept payment
• Collaborate closely with other staff members
• Assist with preparation of takeout orders.

Education/Training/Experience

• Two years of experience as waitstaff or similar role preferred
• Knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• State Food Handler's Certification, required

Essential Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
• Constant exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday
• Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
• Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
