Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Eight weekend shifts per contract period. Float requirement to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.

Highlights:

• Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department serving all age groups from pediatrics through geriatrics
• Level 3 Trauma Center with Primary Stroke and STEMI Center designations
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with 28 rooms and average daily census of 195 patients
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Extensive support services including interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and transportation

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Core competencies: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, isolation precautions, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
