Job Description Job Description Description: Leasing Agent Responsibilities: Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and all other Federal, State, and Local laws pertaining to Residential Housing. Fully implement and enforce all policies and procedures as outlined in the J.H.W. Policy and Procedures Manual. Recording and updating details of prospective and existing landlords and tenants into computer database swiftly. Examining properties and informing maintenance staff of issues. Advertising available properties and conducting property tours as part of marketing activities. Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements. Completing lease applications and assisting with the verification of application information. Informing prospective tenants of results. Inspecting properties when tenants take occupation and vacate. Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns. Maintaining and storing documentation effectively. Accepting rent payments, security deposits, and other applicable fees. Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Skills High school degree minimum Prior experience in property management or in a related industry preferred. SC Property Manager License, CAM®, ARM® designation preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing for effective communication with residents, employees, peers, vendors, owners, etc., and assisting operations. Computer software experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Management Basic understanding of Landlord/Tenant laws and application, familiarity with the state-specific Lease and Addendums, Fair Housing/ADA regulations and application, OSHA & EPA requirements for property management industry.
