Board Member

As a Board Member of Gateway for Success, you will play a pivotal role in supporting

our mission to empower students and build their excitement for learning, preparing them

for a successful future. Our school serves at-risk students by providing a rigorous,

supportive academic environment that encourages students to take charge of their

education and create pathways towards their aspirations.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position that carries meaningful influence and offers an

irreplaceable opportunity to make a lasting difference in students’ lives. Our school's

commitment to service creates a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

Mission Alignment:

● Embrace and actively promote the school's mission of fostering

academic excellence and empowering students to pursue higher

education.

● Demonstrate a passion for educational equity and support for at-risk

students.

Governance:

● Attend and actively participate in board meetings, with a focus on

development and policy.

● Approve the school’s annual budget.

● Attend a minimum of four board meetings annually.

Community Engagement:

● Serve as an ambassador for the school, fostering positive

relationships with parents and stakeholders.

● Advocate for the charter school and promote its mission within the

community.

Qualifications:

● Commitment to education and school choice.

● Integrity and a collaborative mindset.
