Job Description We are looking for a Technical Specialist to serve as the subject matter expert for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and related low‑voltage power infrastructure. This position will be full‑time and onsite across the greater urban areas of Tampa, Orlando, Broward, and Miami. The role supports advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, vendor oversight, and maintenance leadership to ensure power continuity and infrastructure reliability. This is a full‑time contract role and an onsite position with heavy travel expectations. Company vehicle will be provided. Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM What You’ll Do Act as the subject matter expert for UPS systems and facility power infrastructure Lead complex diagnostics and corrective maintenance for UPS systems and related components Monitor preventive maintenance programs to maximize system uptime Manage maintenance contracts and ensure compliance with SLAs and reporting requirements Monitor vendor performance, review invoices, and verify adherence to contractual obligations Coordinate with vendors for upgrades, replacements, and warranty claims Provide technical guidance and training for technicians and team members Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and reports Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and organizational protocols Respond to critical incidents and provide on‑call support as required Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance records Evaluate and maintain budget records What You’ll Need Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or low‑voltage systems, with UPS specialization Expert knowledge of UPS systems and power distribution technologies Proficiency in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Skilled in advanced diagnostic tools and remote troubleshooting software Ability to analyze and perform cost‑benefit analysis for UPS replacement or maintenance Strong understanding of lifecycle asset management principles Ability to lead projects and mentor technical staff Excellent analytical and communication skills Familiarity with contract management and vendor compliance processes.
