As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of innovative and complex mechanical solutions. Your expertise in mechanical design principles and advanced methodologies will ensure that the products developed meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of either Freeport, IL or Boyne City, locations on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge mechanical systems and components that drive the success of Honeywell’s product offerings. As a trusted partner, we provide actionable solutions and innovation through our Aerospace Technologies, Building Automation, Energy and Sustainability Solutions, and Industrial Automation business segments – powered by our Honeywell Forge software – that help make the world smarter, safer and more sustainable.YOU MUST HAVE 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development with a strong focus on advanced mechanical systems.Deep knowledge of mechanical design principles, CAD software proficiency, and simulation tools to ensure robust product designs.Experience with mechanical analysis techniques including stress, thermal, and dynamic simulations to validate designs.Expertise in materials selection, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.Proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools and mechanical simulation software. WE VALUEBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Proven track record of delivering successful mechanical design projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in mechanical design solutions.Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading design teams.Knowledge of industry standards, product testing, and validation processes. The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
