This program is subject to change based on union agreements and state budget policy. This position is located in Sacramento. Under the general supervision of Supervisor I of the Multifamily Grants Management (MGM) Branch of the Division of Financial State Assistance, the Housing and Community Development Representative II is responsible for all phases of administering the Department of Housing and Community Development’s complex grant agreements in compliance with state requirements. Staff will independently perform all actions associated with grant management, including file maintenance, database input, monitoring activities, record keeping and reconciliations with accuracy. The MGM Branch is primarily responsible for the fiscal and contract management of state funded multifamily grant programs including disbursing and verifying the use of funds per eligible activities, monitoring and clearing of standard agreement special conditions, clearing performance milestones such as construction completion and occupancy, enforcement of appropriate affordability restrictions, monitoring reporting requirements, providing technical assistance to grantees to ensure programmatic and statutory requirements are met. In limited cases, at the Department’s discretion, an employee may be approved to work in a remote‑centered capacity on a temporary basis until appropriate office space becomes available. Under California Government Code Section 14200, telework‑eligible employees must reside in California. The designated headquarters location will be based on the employee’s primary residence and may be updated if HCD criteria are met.
