An exciting contract opportunity awaits for an enthusiastic Physical Therapist to work onsite supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Chimayo, NM. You'll make a meaningful difference by providing specialized PT services directly within schools, helping students reach their full potential.
This flexible position accommodates both full-time and part-time availability. As the Physical Therapist, you will travel between several district sites (all within a reasonable distance), ensuring diverse experiences with a manageable caseload—so you can focus on quality care rather than overwhelming numbers. The role begins as soon as possible, offering you the chance to step in and hit the ground running for the current school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license as a Physical Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in working within K-12 school settings
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload across multiple school sites
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Adaptable and comfortable with a variety of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and direct services to students onsite
- Collaborate with other education professionals, including teachers and administrators
- Travel between district school locations as needed (travel remains within a close radius)
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and report progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and document all services rendered
- Promote a supportive, inclusive environment for students with physical needs
