Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst - Advanced will serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams within the Taxpayer and Business Services Division. This role requires expert knowledge in business analysis, enterprise software such as SAP SCEIS, and process automation tools like Adobe Enterprise Management (AEM) and OnBase. The analyst will identify business requirements, recommend improvements, and support the transition to paperless HR processes, while ensuring compliance with security and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities:

• Identify business requirements, issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Use AEM and OnBase to automate HR-related processes and support paperless initiatives.
• Work with SAP SCEIS and other enterprise systems to support integrated tax system projects.
• Collaborate with various application and agency teams to understand data needs and design documentation.
• Develop and execute test scenarios to validate system functionality.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders from peer to Director-level professionals.
• Provide feedback on business requirements, enhancements, and new features.
• Manage multiple tasks concurrently and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues, develop workarounds, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Adhere to corporate information security guidelines and promote security awareness.
• Mentor and lead junior staff members.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 6+ years of experience with SAP SCEIS functions and processes.
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
• 6+ years of experience with SharePoint.
• 6+ years of experience in process improvements and establishing tracking/performance metrics.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass extensive onboarding screenings including criminal history, credit check, E-Verify, and state tax compliance.
• Current South Carolina residency required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) programs.

Special Considerations:

• Position requires strict adherence to security and confidentiality protocols due to sensitive information handled.
• Must be customer-oriented and able to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contractors must maintain current South Carolina tax filings and payments.
• Fully onsite work location with no relocation permitted.

Scheduling:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Standard business hours with one round of onsite interviews during the hiring process.
• 12-month contract with possibility for extension.
