Armed Security Officer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Position Type: Monday to Friday / 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position requires a highly dependable individual with strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a professional presence. Officers are expected to maintain a safe and secure environment while representing our organization with professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

Maintain a secure presence at assigned location
Deter criminal activity and enforce property policies
Conduct routine patrols of premises
Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies
Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
Coordinate with property management and local authorities when necessary

Requirements

Current ACT 235 Certification (Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Training Act)
Valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms
Personal firearm
Duty belt and required armed gear
Reliable transportation
Prior armed security experience required
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to stand and/or patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in residential, commercial, or high-end property security
Military or law enforcement background (preferred but not required)

Education Requirements (All)

HS Diploma GED or H.S. Equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

PA ACT 235 License Driver's License License to Carry a Firearm Personal firearm ownership
