Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Department: Endoscopy Room

Status: Hourly

Shift: Day

Compensation: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy department at our New Brunswick facility.

• Required:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be obtained within five years of hire.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care is essential.
  • Endoscopy experience of at least 2-3 years is required.
• Preferred:
  • National certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, and/or CGRN are advantageous.
  • Experience in Critical Care.
  • Experience in Pre/Post Anesthesia.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.

Day Shift: 7 AM – 5:30 PM

• 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts, with rotations on weekends and holidays, as well as intermittent overnight on-call duties.
• On-call responsibilities may include potential weekend rotations and overnight coverage during weekends and holidays.

The Registered Nurse will deliver nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the scope of practice outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards, while upholding ethical standards as defined by the ANA Code of Ethics.

• Ensure safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and recognizing personal knowledge and experience levels.
• Take responsibility for enhancing personal and team knowledge through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Report any identified safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintain awareness of the patient population served.
• Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Set and assess priorities consistently, implementing appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
