This role manages recruiting logistics, onboarding, employee relations support, benefits administration, payroll data entry, compliance tasks, safety coordination, and HRIS recordkeeping. Acting as the point of contact for employees, the HR Generalist ensures a positive employee experience while supporting the Director of HR in delivering programs that strengthen Weatherby's culture and operations. What You'll Do Recruiting & Onboarding – Post jobs, screen applicants, schedule and participate in interviews, prepare offer letters, and complete onboarding paperwork and logistics. Employee Support – Provide support for employee questions, benefits enrollments, transactions, PTO, and attendance. HR Records & Compliance – Input and maintain accurate employee records, update the org chart, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance tasks are completed. Events & Engagement – Support company activities and employee events that strengthen culture and connection. Safety & Training – Coordinate testing, conduct safety training sessions, and maintain training records. Payroll & HRIS – Enter and update data in HRIS systems, support payroll processing, and track assignments to completion. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2-6 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or coordinator role. Knowledge of HR processes and employment laws. Proficiency with HRIS platforms. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment. Accountabilities and Measures Ensure HR data, employee records, and payroll inputs are accurate and timely. Support recruiting and onboarding efforts to meet hiring timelines. Deliver excellent employee service and resolve HR inquiries effectively. Maintain compliance in benefits, safety, and employment documentation. Meet objectives and goals assigned during quarterly performance coaching. Physical Requirements This role is primarily office-based with occasional exposure to the manufacturing/factory environment. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle documents and office equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment While primarily an office role, the HR Generalist may occasionally enter the factory environment and be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud noise.
