Quick Facts Location: Kokomo, Indiana Start Date: Immediate or as negotiated Duration: Ongoing assignment Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Full-Time License/Certifications: Valid Indiana social work license preferred (or eligibility) Experience: Prior experience in child welfare or investigations preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (note: actual pay details are available upon application) Overtime: Additional pay at $1.00/hour (specific rates to be discussed upon hiring) Benefits: Paid mileage reimbursement, work equipment provided, supportive work environment What You ll Do Conduct initial assessments and investigations into child maltreatment allegations Perform thorough safety and risk assessments during investigations Document findings accurately and prepare detailed reports for court proceedings Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and community stakeholders Monitor safety and implement safety plans to protect children Attend court hearings and testify as needed Support and mentor new staff within the child safety investigations unit What You Need Required: Bachelor s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field Valid Indiana social work license or eligibility to obtain one Strong documentation, investigation, and communication skills Ability to travel routinely within assigned geographic area Commitment to ethical, fact-based investigations Preferred: Previous experience in child maltreatment investigations or child welfare Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and protocols related to child safety About the Assignment Join a committed team specializing in child safety investigations at a leading facility in Kokomo, Indiana.
