Job Description Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital features advanced surgical suites and operating rooms for inpatient and outpatient procedures, where our OR nursing team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical care. GENERAL SUMMARY: Lead and coordinate the delivery of quality, compassionate patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. Apply the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document comprehensive care and patient/family education. Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination and optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement solutions that enhance patient care and surgical outcomes. Deliver expert professional nursing care in the operative setting, advocating for patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures. Perform specialized scrub functions with precision, expertly selecting and handling instruments and supplies to support surgical procedures. Execute circulating functions with keen attention to detail, monitoring and communicating patient condition while managing comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after procedures. Provide direct surgical support to the operating physician, assisting with critical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and optimal patient positioning. Prepare and maintain operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment to the highest standards of safety and readiness. SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8-Hour or 10-Hour Day Shifts, Occasional weekend, holiday and on-call shifts Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Full-Time Benefit Eligible LOCATION: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital Qualifications: Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS). #J-18808-Ljbffr
