Occupational Therapist (OT) We’re building ‘the’ Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy — a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do. Bierman Autism Centers is looking for a full-time, center-based Occupational Therapist to join a motivated and energetic team focused on transforming the lives of children diagnosed with autism while building a fun and creative culture at work. The role requires commitment to helping parents and children grow on their terms, constantly learning new methods, and mastering natural play to teach foundational skills such as self‑advocacy and communication. Job Type Full Time, Exempt. Center‑based, Monday – Friday: 8:15 am – 4:45 pm. No travel required. Fun and Challenging Responsibilities Provide center‑based occupational therapy for children with autism. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, and RBTs. Requirements Basic & Essential Functions Must be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds. Must have adequate hearing ability to evaluate client speech. Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan. Must assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods. Must walk and run to chase clients while maintaining a three‑foot distance. Must attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing. Must have manual dexterity for computer and electronic device functions for data collection. Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication on paper or electronic devices. Must transfer written data to electronic files or database systems. Must maintain prolonged periods of computer work. Must assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space including toys and furniture. Must administer medication to clients. Job Requirements Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT). NBCOT Certification. Current licensure. Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Excellent written and oral communication with colleagues, direct reports, and caregivers. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate. Detail‑oriented and flexible, with adaptability to meet team needs. Professional integrity and ethical conduct. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Knowledge of macOS and comfort operating primarily in a macOS environment. Proficiency with or quick learning of organizational technology platforms including CentralReach and Tableau. Maintain required licensure while employed.
