Physician - Adult Cardiac Surgery

Position Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine's Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute are actively recruiting a board‑eligible/board‑certified cardiac surgeon to join our Adult Cardiac Surgery Division. The position is located in Morgantown, WV and may require service at additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Eligibility for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor expected. Responsibilities Practice the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery Provide services at multiple satellite clinics as required Travel to and perform surgeries at additional worksites as operational needs dictate Actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows Participate in academic activities and foster future growth of the department Qualifications MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a state medical license Completed general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship Board eligible or board certified in cardiothoracic surgery All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment Schedule & Compensation Scheduled weekly hours: 40 Exempt position (United States of America) Location 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WestVirginia Equal Opportunity Employer University Health Associates and its subsidiaries (collectively "UHA") is an equal‑opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
