Physician - Surgery, Cardiothoracic

Position Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute’s Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery are recruiting a board certified/eligible cardiothoracic surgeon for the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor with a specialty interest in adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel to these additional sites is anticipated and expected. Responsibilities Practice cardiothoracic surgery, providing excellent patient care. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for a state medical license. Completed a general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program. Board eligible or certified in cardiothoracic surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Other Considerations The WVU Heart & Vascular Institute offers a collaborative academic environment with a comprehensive health system. The position may involve participation at satellite clinics. Work Schedule 40 scheduled weekly hours. Exempt (United States of America).
