The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands-on training. This position also includes opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, engineers, and basic scientists, fostering a synergistic approach to cardiovascular research. Access to extensive institutional resources will support the candidate’s research endeavors, facilitating impactful discoveries and contributions to the field of cardiovascular medicine.***Duties and Responsibilities** *The duties for this position include writing and publishing research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attending and making presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; and developing national and international scholarly reputation. The position also Instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years.
