Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely. About This Role As a Primary Therapist , you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. Our virtual programs meet the needs of modern healthcare, providing flexibility for both patients and clinicians while increasing access to fundamental care. Schedule Must have flexibility between 8:30am-6:30pm CST Monday through Friday Preference for candidates based in Illinois or Minnesota with an active, full clinical license. What You’ll Do Completing initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies Overseeing initial and continuing insurance needs of patients Meeting with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning Coordinating care with patient’s individual providers to ensure continuity of care Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge Communicating with patient’s family members or support system when indicated Charting in our electronic medical records system Engaging in crisis management Providing group therapy, as needed Who You Are Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical license (required) 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred) Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting We are committed to a fair and equitable work environment. This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications.
