This role reports directly to the Department Director, also works collaboratively with physicians and fellow nursing professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to a positive work environment that fosters professional growth, mutual respect, continuous learning, and excellence in patient care.How you'll contributeA Medical Surgical RN who excels in this role:Performs duties as assigned and requested.Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient's condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly.Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as assigned.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include:AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NRP, Handle with Care, preferred within one year of hire.Experience: One-year previous experience preferredLicenses: Must have a current state or compact state RN license.Education: Associate's degree required.
