Role Description The Remote Patient Care Coordinator is a full-time role responsible for supporting patients and clinical staff through efficient communication and scheduling. Daily tasks include answering incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries, and scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments according to provider availability and practice protocols. The coordinator will assist with care coordination by gathering and updating patient information, verifying details related to visits, and ensuring accurate documentation in practice systems. The role also involves explaining visit logistics, preparing patients for upcoming procedures, and routing messages or concerns to the appropriate clinical or administrative team members. This is a fully remote position that requires consistent, professional communication and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent service standards. Qualifications Strong Appointment Scheduling skills, including managing multiple calendars and adapting to changing provider availability. Professional Phone Etiquette, with the ability to handle high call volumes, manage difficult conversations, and maintain a friendly, patient-focused tone. Care Coordination experience, including organizing patient information, routing messages, and supporting continuity of care between patients and providers. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately understand, document, and relay information related to oral and maxillofacial procedures and general healthcare. Patient Care skills, including empathy, active listening, clear communication, and the ability to guide patients through scheduling, preparation, and follow-up steps.
