Job Title: Heavy Assembler Job Description

The Heavy Assembler builds Temperature Control Units (TCUs) by interpreting engineering documentation and assembling mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components to precise quality and safety standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work methodically and safely in a fast-paced production environment.

• Review engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to understand the layout, components, and assembly sequence of Temperature Control Units (TCUs).
• Gather and verify all required materials, components, and tools for TCU assembly, ensuring their availability and readiness before starting work.
• Assemble TCU components, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves, sensors, controls, and electrical wiring, following specified configurations and quality standards.
• Mount and securely fasten TCU components onto frames, enclosures, or mounting platforms using appropriate hand tools, power tools, fasteners, and hardware.
• Route, connect, and terminate electrical wiring, cables, and connectors according to wiring diagrams, schematics, and applicable electrical codes.
• Install and connect plumbing and piping systems, including hoses, tubing, fittings, and connections, to support proper fluid circulation and temperature control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, mechanical problems, and component discrepancies encountered during the assembly process.
• Work methodically to ensure accurate, precise, and high-quality assembly of TCUs in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Follow and uphold all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards during assembly activities and within the workplace.
• Organize work tasks effectively and prioritize assignments to meet production goals and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members and, when needed, work independently to complete assemblies and resolve issues efficiently.

• Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
• Ability to perform precise measurements, including the use of calipers and other measuring tools.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach to ensure accurate and precise assembly of TCUs.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and assembly issues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working from blueprints and technical documentation.
• Experience assembling systems involving plumbing, piping, and fluid circulation components.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring practices and basic understanding of electrical codes.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to completing tasks and resolving issues.

This role is based in a hands-on manufacturing and assembly environment focused on building Temperature Control Units. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments such as calipers, and standard assembly equipment while working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The work is fast-paced and production-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to engineering documentation and quality standards. Appropriate work attire suitable for a shop or manufacturing floor is expected to support safe and efficient assembly activities.

This is a Permanent position based out of Richfield, WI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
