Director of Accounting

Financial Additions is assisting a reputable client in Dallas with a Director of Accounting position. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or affordable housing. This role will oversee corporate, property, and development accounting while leading a team. Our client is open to offering relocation assistance for the right candidate and will consider applicants nationwide. Responsibilities: Oversee full-cycle accounting for corporate, property, and development projects Manage construction draws, acquisitions, and dispositions Direct monthly/quarterly reporting and annual audits Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Supervise and mentor the accounting team Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred) 10+ years accounting experience, with leadership background Experience in real estate or multifamily housing accounting Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, or Section 8 programs a plus Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, Sage, or similar systems Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr #J-18808-Ljbffr Financial Additions
