Certified Surgical Technologist

Job Overview Certified Surgical Technologists are needed at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana. This full‑time, day‑shift position requires 10‑hour days, 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for all procedures. Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and efficiently pass instruments during surgery. Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, and post‑operative patient care. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to provide patient‑centered care. Evaluate equipment to ensure safe and effective function; report defects to Sterile Processing. Maintain inventory of supplies, communicate shortages, and keep preference cards up to date. Train and mentor new Surgical Technologist staff as needed. Adhere to aseptic technique, hand‑washing protocols, and all departmental safety and quality standards. Perform administrative duties such as status reporting and scheduling coordination. Qualifications Certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. preferred; at least 2 years of experience acceptable for non‑certified candidates. AHA BLS certification required or must be obtained within 2 months of hire. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software.
