Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Self-scheduling with manager approval

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Telemetry Swing Unit serving adult, geriatric, and occasional pediatric populations
• Manage patients requiring IV antibiotics, therapy, wound care, and treatment for diagnoses such as diabetes, pancreatitis, and pneumonia
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:3–4 in a 10-bed unit
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and ancillary departments as part of a close-knit care team
• Float to the Emergency Department as backup support during high-volume periods as needed
• Adhere to weekend rotation requirements (at minimum every third weekend) and participate in holiday rotation per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required as a condition of contract
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license at time of submittal)
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or swing bed nursing
• Comfort working with a diverse patient population including adults, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric patients
• Ability to thrive in a small, team-oriented environment with a flexible, collaborative approach to patient care
