Job Title: IT Support Technician

Location: Fayetteville, NC 28302 (Onsite)

Duration: 7 Months Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)

Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide end-user and infrastructure support in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, Microsoft 365, networking, and manufacturing applications while ensuring reliable and secure IT operations. This is an onsite position with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance.

Additional Skills

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.

Support Microsoft 365, Windows client/server environments, Active Directory, and cloud-based applications.

Perform software installations, system updates, patch management, and backups.

Support user onboarding, offboarding, account management, and access requests.

Maintain IT assets and inventory records.

Assist with wired/wireless networking and VoIP support.

Support manufacturing systems such as MES, SCADA, LIMS, or similar plant-floor applications.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to minimize downtime.

Ensure compliance with IT security policies, antivirus protection, and device management.

Create documentation and provide user training when needed.

Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement and technical support.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 3 years of IT Support or Desktop Support experience.

Strong experience with:
Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
Microsoft 365
Active Directory
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Hardware and software troubleshooting

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing or industrial IT support experience.

Experience supporting MES, SCADA, LIMS, or other manufacturing applications.

Familiarity with ITIL processes and security best practices.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus.

Work Environment:
Fully onsite in Fayetteville, NC.

Manufacturing environment requiring occasional entry into production areas.

Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing facilities.
