Assistant Director of Sales

The Dupont Circle Hotel is seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Assistant Director of Sales to join our Commercial Leadership Team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this role is responsible for leading the hotel's transient business across corporate, diplomatic, luxury leisure, consortia and business travel segments while overseeing the Senior Account Executive, Corporate & Diplomatic Sales. Key Responsibilities Drive revenue growth across corporate, diplomatic, luxury leisure, consortia and business travel segments. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve transient revenue goals and market share growth. Manage a portfolio of key accounts and identify new business opportunities. Lead the annual corporate RFP process in partnership with Revenue Management. Build strong relationships with corporate travel buyers, diplomatic contacts, luxury travel advisors and consortia partners. Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, networking events and client engagements. Analyse market trends, production data and competitor activity to drive commercial performance. Coach and support the Senior Account Executive, Corporate & Diplomatic Sales. Skills Minimum 7 years' hotel sales experience, ideally within luxury or upscale hospitality. Proven success in corporate, diplomatic, business travel, luxury leisure or consortia sales. Experience managing corporate RFP negotiations and account strategies. Previous leadership or people management experience. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities. A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for hospitality and sales.
