Job Description:

McDowell, Stromatt & Associates is a leading provider of Social Security Disability representation. The Louisville, KY location is currently searching for a full-time on-site case manager. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Case management, including:
• • Filing new claims
  • Calling clients for updates
  • Appealing denials
  • Requesting/Collecting medical records
  • Processing documents from Social Security
  • Understanding Social Security rules, cases, medical records, opinion statements
  • Intake consultations
  • Processing incoming mail and faxes
  • Answering phone calls, emails, texts

Job Requirements:

• Problem solving skills
• Ability to act proactively with and without supervision
• Computer skills and familiarity with accessing different databases and drafting/writing
• Commute to the office
• Need to work within a team environment
• HS degree some college degree preferred
• Fast typing
• Ability to multitask and handle many problems at once
• Handle high stress situations and deal with difficult people at times
