Metrology Sales Engineer

This role is ideal for someone currently working in quality, manufacturing, metrology, applications engineering, CMM programming, industrial distribution, or technical sales who wants to combine technical expertise with business development and territory ownership.
Rather than simply responding to RFQs or taking orders, you'll work directly with quality leaders, manufacturing engineers, and operations teams to identify inspection challenges, improve measurement processes, and recommend solutions that increase productivity and quality outcomes.
You'll become a trusted resource for customers evaluating:
- Dimensional metrology solutions
- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Optical and vision measurement systems
- Hand-held precision measurement tools
- Surface measurement solutions
- Calibration and repair services
- Advanced measurement and inspection technologies
What You'll Do: Develop Strategic Manufacturing Accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout North Florida and South Georgia.
- Build relationships with Quality Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Procurement teams.
- Develop multi-level customer relationships and long-term account growth strategies.
- Conduct facility visits, process reviews, and application discovery meetings.
- Understand customer inspection and measurement challenges before recommending solutions.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes, tolerances, GD&T requirements, and inspection workflows.
- Partner with Fowler Application Engineers to deliver demonstrations and technical evaluations.
- Recommend solutions that improve quality, repeatability, throughput, and compliance.
- Prospect and develop new strategic accounts.
- Execute territory growth plans and account development strategies.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through CRM.
- Support distribution partners and conduct joint customer visits.
- Participate in trade shows, customer events, and product demonstrations.
