Dear Applicant,

We are Seeking an organized and outgoing Medical Assistant for a FAST-paced medical/surgical/laboratory practice.  Must be polite, motivated, and communicate superbly.  Experience in a medical practice is required.

Responsibilities include charting on a tablet EMR, generating accurate billing codes, setting up and assisting in surgeries and cosmetic procedures; and coordinating patient care.

Patient  hours are 9-5 Monday through Thursday and 9-1 Friday. You will need to commit at least 28 hours a week. Full time is available. We need reliable and committed team players.

Proficiency checklist:

• Independently room patients and briefly summarize the reason for visit to physician
• Understanding of medical terminology and prescribing lingo
• Proficient scribing on electronic medical records and summarizing care for patients.
• Ability to assist in surgical procedures and applying pressure dressing.
• Managing prescription and pathology related paperwork and faxes.
• Willingness to assist front office with phones, scheduling, and paperwork.
