Data Engineer NC DHHS Raleigh, NC 27607 NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support cloud-based data engineering and analytics initiatives. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure services . Analyze source systems and design efficient data ingestion and transformation processes. Build data ingestion workflows and integrations with Salesforce . Work with Salesforce APIs for data extraction, integration, schema alignment, and processing. Support integrations with Curam/Oracle and other enterprise source systems. Develop and maintain scalable data models for reporting and analytics. Create data transformations and semantic layers to support Power BI dashboards and reporting . Develop and optimize SQL queries used across data pipelines and analytics solutions. Optimize Azure Synapse pipelines, storage, and workloads for performance and reliability. Monitor data pipelines and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and cost. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data integration issues, and data quality problems. Troubleshoot Salesforce API connectivity and data ingestion issues. Support Power BI dataset and dataflow refresh processes. Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, BI developers, and technical stakeholders. Translate business and reporting requirements into scalable data engineering solutions. Ensure data pipelines and solutions follow appropriate security, governance, and quality standards. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across integrated systems. Document data pipelines, source-to-target mappings, transformations, and technical processes. Participate in testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing production support. Work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, SQL, and communication skills are required. Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Salesforce, SQL, and cloud data platforms is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
