Waabi is backed by and partners with world leaders in AI, automotive, logistics, and deep tech.With offices in Toronto, San Francisco, Dallas, and Pittsburgh, Waabi is growing quickly and looking for diverse, innovative and collaborative candidates who want to impact the world in a positive way.You Will...Be responsible for mechanical design, assembly, test and integration of sensors, compute, modules, and actuation systems.Work closely with the software team to define and convert perception, planning, and control requirements into hardware specifications.Design for automotive requirements and environmental challenges.Support prototype and production module builds.Manager relationships with suppliers and external partnersDiagnose and drive resolution of technical issues.Qualifications:Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields.Proficient with Solidworks.Experience with technical drawing tolerancing for various manufacturing operations.Experience with fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Experience with PLM tools and document revision control.Test and qualify mechanical designs for on road vehicle use.Experience with various designs for manufacturing processes like sheet metal, injection molding, stamping, die cast, etc.Technical ownership of hardware development from prototype to production.Present mechanical solutions to cross functional teams.Bonus Qualifications:Autonomous Vehicle and/or automotive industry experience is a plus.Surfacing experience is a plus.Perks/Benefits:Competitive compensation and equity awards.Health and Wellness benefits encompassing Medical, Dental and Vision coverage (for full-time employees only).Unlimited Vacation.Flexible hours and Work from Home support.Daily drinks, snacks and catered meals (when in office).Regularly scheduled team building activities and social events both on-site, off-site & virtually.As we grow, this list continues to evolve!Waabi is a technology start-up building technologies to transform the way the world moves.
