Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting. Ensure the safety and well-being of critically ill newborns while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to neonates in the NICU according to established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, reflexes, and developmental progress of neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress diligently.
• Participate in post-partum and nursery assignments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards for neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in neonatal intensive care or postpartum units.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Ability to perform post-partum and NICU-specific clinical tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend.
