Job Summary:

An Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises, preventing theft or damage, and responding to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
• Control access to buildings by checking identification and issuing visitor badges
• Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches
• Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or disturbances
• Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
• Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations
• Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Valid security guard license (as required by state/local law)
• Previous security experience preferred but not always required
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods

Working Conditions:
